Private Events.
Indiana state liquor law requires all alcohol to be provided through The Barn 1880: Historic Venue.
No outside alcohol allowed.
Cash. Credit Card. Venmo.
Bar options include premium house wines, domestic/imported beers, hard seltzers, signature cocktails, and soft drinks.
Host Bar +18% Service Charge.
Cash Bar + Tip Jar.
Wedding Bar Service is Included in all Wedding Packages with a choice of Dry Bar, Cash Bar, Host Bar, Ticket Bar.
Venue reserves the right to request that security is required for events serving alcohol with over 100 people.
Alcohol service ceases 1 hour before the event ends.
Proof of age (21+) required for alcohol service.
Additional information is provided during a scheduled tour.
Booking
Weddings:
To reserve a date, a 25% non-refundable retainer is required.
Payment Schedule:
25% due 180 days prior
25% due 90 days prior
25% due 60 days prior
$500 Infraction & Damage Security Deposit required, refundable per contract compliance due 30 days prior.
Liability Insurance required at 30 days prior at approx. $1 pp.
Non-Wedding Events:
Payment in two installments: At booking + 30 days before the event.
We accept cash, checks, Venmo, and credit card payments.

Cancellation Policy
In the event of client cancellations, all payments made to the date of written cancellation are nonrefundable.
Further details are explained in the contract signed by the client(s).

Contract
After a scheduled tour, we send a contract & invoice. All payable online via credit card.
Secure the date with a 25% or 50% retainer with a signed contract.
Firework Policy
Due to safety and fire concern, fireworks and sparklers are prohibited on the property.
Liability Insurance
Aligned with industry standards, we require our wedding clients to purchase general liability insurance in an amount not less than $1,000,000 combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage. Such insurance shall name The Barn 1880: Historic Venue as additional insured. The certificate of insurance with the endorsement must be provided thirty (30) days prior to the event. Packages typically cost $1 pp for a 1-day coverage depending on the size of the guest list. Check out eventhelper.com
Vendors
Clients may select a vendor with the stipulation that the vendor meets the insurance and license requirements. Vendors, please contact us for details. We require the certificate of insurance with an endorsement (naming the venue/et al as an additional insured) as well as a copy of their Workers' Compensation Premium Payment (if you have employees), Vendor’s License, and signed vendor agreement.

We are located in Kosciusko county with more than 100 natural lakes. We have a thriving Airbnb community and an expanding hotel industry. Parking
The Barn 1880: Historic Venue sits on approximately 3 acres. To preserve the scenery, clients are asked to restrict parking permits and encourage guests to carpool or shuttle to the event.
Security
The Barn 1880: Historic Venue reserves the right to requests that large events serving alcohol are required to provide security personnel during the hours that alcohol is served. The booking client must secure this service through the Warsaw Police Department which provides this service at a cost of approximately $40 per hour. The client must provide evidence thirty (30) days prior to the event.

Smoking Policy
Smoking/ vaping is strictly prohibited in and around the barns & corn crib. To accommodate smokers, the venue owners have established a designated smoking area.
The Corn Crib is located at the end of the property (East) and offers guests an additional gathering area, photography location, or an outdoor ceremony option.
The Granary & Hay Loft
The Granary & Hay Loft are the upper level of the barn. The space can accommodate up to 175 seated. A picture-perfect double staircase leads guests to The Hay Loft - an upper level additional dining area with custom wood tables & chairs. Private, modern restrooms and hospitality buffet & dessert tables. Available May-October.
The Stone Cellar
The Stone Cellar is the lower-level barn.
The optimal seated capacity is one hundred (100) with up to 150+ guests for an open-house event.
Private, modern restrooms and hospitality buffet & dessert tables. Multiple doors open to the patio and to the courtyard outdoor space - ideal for extending the gathering and for outdoor games.
The Farm House
Offering a bridal suite, the 1909 farmhouse includes multiple bathrooms and bedrooms for wedding parties to get ready. With a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and living space, it’s perfect for a carry-in wedding breakfast, celebration lunch, and a place to make memories before the ceremony.
